Airport

Ninoy Aquino International Airport

Pasay City, 1300 Metro Manila, Philippines
(02) 8877 1111

Traveling from Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) to the Grand Hyatt Manila is straightforward, with a typical travel time of 20–40 minutes depending on traffic.

The easiest and most recommended option is using Grab (similar to Uber), which offers upfront pricing and direct pickup from your terminal. Grab does accept most U.S. credit cards, but it’s a good idea to have some Philippine pesos on hand, as occasional payment issues or driver preferences may require cash.

Official airport taxis are also available and reliable if taken from designated stands. For groups or those with extra luggage, pre-booked private transfers offer added convenience, while public transportation is not recommended for first-time visitors.

Travel Essentials

What are important items that guests should remember to pack?

Light, breathable clothing is essential for Manila’s warm, humid weather, along with formal attire for the wedding at the Manila Cathedral and reception at the Grand Hyatt Manila (and a fun party outfit if you plan to join us for clubbing afterwards). Don’t forget sunscreen, bug spray, comfortable walking shoes, and a universal power adapter (Type A/B/C).

Do guests need a passport or visa to travel to the wedding location?

All U.S. travelers need a valid passport (with at least 6 months validity). U.S. citizens can enter the Philippines visa-free for stays up to 30 days, as long as they have a return or onward ticket. In addition, all travelers must complete the electronic travel declaration through eGovPH (eTravel) within 72 hours before arrival. After submitting, you’ll receive a QR code—please have this ready (printed or on your phone) to present at immigration upon arrival.

Are any vaccines required or recommended?

No vaccines are required for entry, but the CDC recommends being up to date on routine vaccines and considering Hepatitis A/B and Typhoid for travel to the Philippines.

Where can guests find practical amenities, such as a bank, ATM, or pharmacy?

Guests staying at the Grand Hyatt Manila will be right in the heart of Bonifacio Global City (BGC), one of the most modern and walkable areas in Metro Manila. The neighborhood is filled with convenient amenities—banks, ATMs, pharmacies, grocery stores, and upscale shopping malls are all just a short walk away, making it easy to access anything you might need during your stay.

What is the best way for guests to stay connected — should they rent a local SIM card or phone to avoid roaming charges?

Getting a local SIM card (Globe or Smart) at the airport or malls is the easiest and most affordable option for data and calls. Alternatively, check if your carrier offers international plans, but local SIMs are usually cheaper.

What transportation options are available?

The easiest and safest option is using the Grab app (similar to Uber) for rides around the city. Jeepneys and tricycles are cheaper and more local experiences, but can be confusing for first-time visitors—great if you’re feeling adventurous!
