In January 2016, Angela Rose David was a sophomore studying biology at UCLA, while Morris Lam had just started his first postgrad job as a software engineer at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Already bored of the 9-to-5 grind (Angela: 🙄), Morris joined a UCLA dance organization called Foundations Choreography.

By chance (Morris: or fate! 🫣), he was placed on a team taught by Angela and a mutual friend. In reality, teams were organized based on instructor preference, so Angela technically chose Morris first (Angela: you’re welcome 😌).

What began as a shared hobby quickly turned into a close friendship, then relationship, and they have been dancing together ever since.
